V-Church was really good tonight! Getting out of our comfort zone will be quite a challenge this week. Jesus was such an example to us the way He loved the Samartian woman – loving those who are different from ourselves! I love what we read on day 3 of our devo this week “God would never love me any more or any less than He did when He first found me as a lost and broken sinner.” That is true for EVERYONE you come in contact with this week! Go out and show the love of God!!

I just finshed my 1st devo i did not know how many people i leave out and don’t hang out with i will have to work that out i try to avoid many people because they are just not my type and we act different then each other
I know that we were just talking about not sterotyping people by their looks yesterday, well on of my friends came in to school today with a mohawk, black painted finger nails and black eyeliner on all because he lost a bet. If some one had only seen him today for the first time I bet you that they wouldn’t be quick to make friends with him. so that just sort of made me laugh…
Fantastic guys I just love the application of what you learn in the devo as well as from v-church and how you have applied it to your own lives. Recognizing these things in your lives is the first steps into reaching out to others.
I was flipping to today’s devo in out flow and noticed a quote that I realy liked ” God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumfernce nowhere” I just realy liked that.
So i was in Utica today for my flute lesson and on a church sign i saw the most amazing saying ever…. it said ” If God is your co-pilot then u should switch seats.” And I thought that was pretty amazing since most of us try to handle things our own way and we need to let GOd be our pilot cause he will direct us in the right direction.
That is a very good saying i never would though it like that and emily wow ur right it would be hard to walk up to that person and try to be there friend. The quote “God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumfernce nowhere” That is an amazing saying
So I am reading Nehemiah in the Old Testament…I dont have the Out Flow book or anything… Nehemiah is all about rebuilding the wall that got destroyed in Jerusalem. There is a lot of history behind that but thats a whole other book of information. Nehemiah 4 talks all about the opposition they faced while building the wall. The Wall represents something that was destroyed, something meant for good but was demolished, and now labor has to be put in to revive what was destroyed. They worked with all their hearts to finish the reconstruction (4:6) As they got tired they began to doubt (4:10) They set up guards day and night within the families. They ended up being so ready and diligent that the people working the supplies had supplies in 1 hand and a weapon in the other. In chapter 6 we see that the wall was completed in 52 days!
When I read this I pictured our generation. It was something meant for good. The enemy has come in and destroyed our wall. Now we have the task of reviving what was meant for good. We have to repair our generation. What may seem impossible, maybe even scary, can be done…we just need committed people! Committed to each other and to prayer.
I just finished my devo for day 3 and i can’t wait for sunday the last week and a great pizza party it will be so much fun and i know we will all enjoy it 1john 3:18 is a very true verse don’t love with words but with actions
