On to Week Two…

fountain1.jpgWhat a great night we had at V-Church! I am looking forward to what everyone has to talk about this week in Outflow! I would like to know some of your plans and ideas for how you are going to show God’s love by serving others. Have a great week. Joann :)

Hopefully as you all start looking at this weeks’ first devo, some memories from last night start seeping in. This first devo continues to help us all look deeper at our relationship with God, what hinders it, and exactly where we feel we are at with our relationship.

    im on finally!!
Well last week i was not very loyal and did not do my devos so this week im doing them faithfully. The first one was very good and today were supposed to say are solutions for the factors that bring us away from God. I think a very good solution even though it may be hard for all of us i know but turn off your cell phone!! Yeah it may not be easy but this really only takes fifteen minutes so jsut take fifteen minutes with no cell and that can be time with God. Thats what i did today and it seems to be working so far. well i can’t wait to here everyone elses solutions.

Hope your all having a good spring break!!

My factor would be the flirting factor i like to talk and hang out with all my friends
I can prevent these things by making time in my life for my lord and i can make a time for me to hang out and text all my friends and i might turn off my phone and laptop for about 5 min in order to do a prayer and a dev i think now that we r doing the outflow i have seen that how much we can do to touch others and show them what he can do to our lives so thanks

I am the flirting factor i like to talk with my frinds and text them a lot
I can make time in my life for a time with God i might try to turn my phone and laptop off for 5 min to do a dev and a little prayer. I never knew that we have so much effect on others with over flowing his love. the study outflow really helps me see that we can show others that God is a powerful person and he can change our lives. So i will try to touch my friends lives with all the things i am learning her

I just read the comments that Janelle and Hailee left and I have to agree with them. I think what is holding me back is that im always more into my sports, friends, and computer than I am with God. In all honesty god is the thing that I will think about last everyday if I have time. I don’t always realize that god is always there and I should always make time to talk to him. Anyways I think some solutions would be to just shut the computer, phone, and other communicating devices and just make sometime for God everyday. And like Hailee said God is a powerful person and he can change our lives, and I will try to touch my friends lives with all the things I learn throughout the book.

Oh wow! Your pics and answers to them are GREAT!!! So, i’m on day two-if you’re on day three good on ya! So, I really like how the devo says to take just 5 min twice a day and only think about God; rid yourselves of all other distractions! I like that cuz I realized that I’m the hury factor and 5 min isn’t that long(other than your own devo time) and just sit and listen to what God wants to say! These are some great challenges!

Hey I just wanted to say thank you to Spencer for serving me today. Spence set up my whole patio set today in the hot blistering sun. It really was a lot of work and he even wiped it down. Thanks Spence for serving us.

I’ve been thinking about this all week. And i purposely have been giving God more time in my hurried life. I have a 20 minute ride to work every day and I love cranking up my radio and singing as loud as i can cause no one can hear me. But I realized, someone really can hear me..God is listening and it clicked to me that this is a perfect time for me to spend talking and listening to God with no distractions. No phone calls, and I can’t text while I am driving and I sure can’t fall asleep while I am praying!! ha ha! So, my driving 20 minutes to and from work has been devoted to God this week! And honestly, I’ve always done my devotions and quiet time with God at night before bed, but me praying every morning …I gotta say I have been having better days!!!!And I have been starting my day off more positive!!!

this week i was struggling to find time to start my devotions. the day i did start it was EXACTLY what i needed to hear from god. it amazes me how he’s always there when i need him, at the exact moment. i’ve realized that he fills me up and makes me a better, happier person and people notice so they ask about it. it feels great to know people see something different in me.

    (:
